000webhost and cutenewsRU

Postby Alen100000 » Tue Apr 06, 2010 4:02 am

I am trying to install cutenewsRU on 000webhost, but I'm getting this error:

"Warning: is_file() [function.is-file]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/usr/local/apache/htdocs/) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/:/usr/lib/php:/tmp) in /home/a4760754/public_html/path-to-cms/inc/functions.inc.php on line 488"

I have no idea... Please help

Think it's your host, they have set some restrictions to your hosting account. Is it free hosting or you are paying for it?

Possibility 1: You have not correctly CHMOD' the files or directorys.
Possibility 2: You host is denying (for security reasons) free users to SQL/PHP functions.
Possibility 3: Your host has restrictions on what folders may be accessed by free users.

Answer: Switch Host. (Or CHMOD files & directory's again).
