im trying to make a spanish hip hop site.. and im trying to used cutenews ru.. to act like an artists module... i know i can be done by categorys.. but if i start making categorys for every album.. video and lyrics.. it will be a pain in the ..s thanx

why not just use the news? the title could be the artist, album or whatever, and you could add xfields if you don't have enough fields for information

You need to think how you want the site to work
As Goberg said you can just use news, and use it's field plus you
can add x-fields and cutefields too
Or you can make categories for just sections like Clips, Lyrics, Artists
and each post in each category will be modified to use the fields and work
as you want it
And last option is to use categories as Artists and posts for each artist
can be it's own lyrics, videos etc'

Of course, there are more options and twiks, you need to
decide how you want it to work and the structure of the website

The way I would do it is:

Post title = Artist + Artist
CuteFields = Artist, Album, Year,

So when someone looks at a news post, it would be:

Michael Jackson - This is It
2009
Shortstory

But you can then have other pages where you can sort by xfield. Want to see all albums by Moby? Just sort by that xfield. All albums from 1978, use that xfield. By album name? use that xfield.

And I'd even recommend adding xfields you MIGHT use, but are not currently. Like Genre, etc. So if you want to expand in the future, that data is already in the system ready to be used.

Yes you should at least try to make some list on what you really want to make the website. This could at least help you on making it. Using the news and its field would be easier if you could do.
