Comment id/numbers not updating

Postby x-byte » Tue Dec 20, 2005 10:51 pm

I've noticed that because of the cache the comments id and numbers don't get updated. If you clear the cache or update the templates it's fixed. Not really a big problem though.

Mabye comments shouldn't get cached? Or is there a way to make comments cache faster...

Quick fix - open, don't change anything and click "edit". Script has problems with this from the very beginning :)

A bit unneccesary... I do know how to manually fix it, but I'm not gonna do it each time someone post a comment.

A bit strange :) It should have ( and it have ) problems when You delete lets say first comment from 4 available, but when someone is adding comment ?

As I said, the comments id/number doesn't get updated when someone post a comment. It fixes itself after a while when the cache is "updated". But it takes a while...

The only way to fix this is to either update the template or clean the cache. But it doesn't work the next time somone makes a comment.

I have this exact problem with posting articles and this fix only worked once, now it doesn't work again. I have to wait for 5 to 6 hours until an article shows.

Any other fix?
