Get rid of Subfolders and Thumbs

I wanna got rid of the subfolders folder and thumb folder when creating a subfolder in the image system.

I just want it like this:
Main
-cat1
-cat2
-cat2

and not like it is now:
main
-subfolders
--cat1
---thumbs
--cat2
---thumbs
--cat3
---thumbs
-thumbs


Is there any way to get this fixed,because the images.mdu is allite above my php knowledge.
can some one help me.
