This is a very powerful, chat, lots of options and customizations, pretty easily integrated
and contains about 32 languages translations!!
So! If you have used myCuteNewsRU PHPBB3 Integration V1.0 or CuteNewsRU PHPBB2 Integration V1.1
so you already have your CNR integrated with your PHPBB forums, you can
install the AJAX Chat PHPBB 2 or 3 integrated version in no time and your
users will be able to connect with their usernames and passwords.
If you have MyBB, PunBB, SMF or VBulletin Forums, you can also use their
integration version of the chat to connect your forums database to the chat.
If you don't have any of them and just want a chat, you can install the normal
version of the chat, which can act independently, you can let guests choose their
usernames etc'

Download
All Download Versions
* Click on the latest version folder (current is 0.8.3) and you will see all the
versions (phpbb2, phpbb3, vbulletin, mybb etc') and the normal version.
Installation
Follow the readme file for all the info, it has also ways of customization and more.
It also contains info about showing the chat as a ShoutBox.
Errors
If you try the install.php and get errors you should try:

Also check lib/custom.php for:
- Code: Select all
$phpbb_root_path = AJAX_CHAT_PATH.'../';
Check that the path to the forums (if integrated) is right, the default (../) is for (leads to) your_forum/chat/
* Also, in the config file and in the lang file the foreign characters or
utf-8 encoded so when you edit them, choose a suitable editor - else
you will get errors, I used Notepad++.
