Last update 7th of March 2009

I've attached a new version. Unzip it and upload the files in the plugins folder of CNR
There are some tiny changes in it. Don't ask me what axactly, really can't remember where or what they are.
In the period this plugin came out by Sidtheduck, we had some little problems now and then.
Most of them are solved, but, remember that the gallery may react a bit different on some servers.
It's important that you chmod the right files and that paths are correct. So a littlebit of php knowledge is needed sometimes.

There are two problems left in my opinion with MyGallery. One is that i personally can't upload big photos or zip files, even if the upload limit on the server is large enough and even when i use the ftp option in the config file.
Second is that the watermark won't be placed on the image after uploading, when the image is smaller then the givin value in the config file.
I think the watermark should be placed in any case, except when you turn this option off in the config file.

That's it. Hope this version will work better for everyone.

:!: Usage
================================================

 Download the file

 Extract the zip file.

 Upload the mygallery folder, mygallery-manager.php in the plugin folder of CNR.

 Go to the 'Manage Plugins' located in the 'Options' section and activate MyGallery.

 Go to Options and the gallery should reachable from there.

 Go by a ftp client to you plugin/mygallery folder and chmod galleries.dat and log.dat.php with writing access 777.

 Chmod also the folder images/ and images/_tmp to 777.

 Include the gallery.inc.php file into any .php site by adding <? include("path_to_mygallery/plugins/mygallery/gallery.inc.php");?> to your code (where 'path_to_mygallery' is to be changed to your needs). Now point your browser to the file where you included the script and you're done.

 Same rule for the randomimage.php file. This file automaticly takes random images of the newest gallery. Include it the same way like the gallery above.

 From the admin panel in CNR you can Add, Edit, Remove and Delete your galleries. Experiment with it. Don't get angry when it's not working at ones. Only check if the gallery is working on the page where you included the gallery. Don't preview the galleries from the admin panel. You will have path issues of the css file etc.

 To customize your gallery look for some settings in the config.inc.php

 To change the default template of the gallery, you have to edit templates.tpl Know what you're doing...

 It's not necessary to change the login lines in config.inc.php When you're logged in CNR, you're automaticly logged in the admin section of MyGallery to.
To have a closer look of features and possibilities of the gallery, go to: planetluc.com/en/scripts_mygallery.php You'll find all ins and outs. Also there is a forum to place your questions about it.

================================================

Keep in mind that this plugin might not work for everybody because of the sensitivity for different types of servers. We haven't solved every issue that might happen. So keep checking from time to time in this topic for any updates.

I'm really looking forward to this one as well! Especially since I've used the myGallery script a few times already. I'm really anxious to see how you've integrated it. It would definitely make CNR my ultimate CMS :)

Well, that's a strange issue we've never experienced. After we had activated the plugin and cleared the CNR cache, the plugin is visible in the options section. I don't know what's causing your problem then.
I only can say, follow the 'Usage' above step by step. It should work. At least the install, activation and it's appearing in the options.
If you're still having problems i should have a look at your site if that's possible?
It also could be a problem if you have the CNR in a subfolder so the paths won't responding in a correct way.
Try to play with the paths in the mygallery-manager.php file, located in your plugin folder.

I'm afraid the plugin doesn't result in Mygallery option showing in Options either. I cleared cache as well.

Why is that? What is happening? :?
Seems that the plugin isn't ready for using. Though i have it running on three sites. Strange things going on...
Try to add this url in youor address bar:
Code: Select all
http://www.yourdomain.com/yourCNR/index.php?mod=options&action=mygallery&mgstart=1

If this brings you to the gallery admin panel, it's installed ok. You only have to add a link in the Options by hand.
Let me know...

Option appears now :)

One thing tho, I created a new gallery. Clicking on it and the images, brings http://www.mysite.com/cms/plugins/mygal ... begins.jpg while it's located at http://www.mysite.com/admin/plugins/mygallery/images/3/batman_begins.jpg

So it's broken atm :o

Edit:

Fixed it in the config of mygallery, replacing cms with admin.

Will test it thoroughly tonight. Thnx

Good to hear it's working at this point.
I'm sure, when you're having some difficulties, most of them can be solved by changing details of the config.inc.php in the mygallery folder and/or the mygallery.php in the plugin folder.
But remember, don't test the gallery from the admin panel, but from the page where you included the gallery.
Good luck tonight.
