Simple Way To Protect Your Cute News Dir From Access

If you don't want people to go through your files you can protect it with .hatccess files. Create a .hatccess file and put in it

deny from all

Put an .hatccess file in each of these dirs and overwrite the originals if they are in there...

backup
cache
inc
plugins
data (smilies probably will not show up though)

Remove folder

there's no point in having that in there. This is just a simple step from allowing people to go through your files. It will just redirect them to a 404 page or something. Also this works on most systems.

Captcha plugin won't work with that in Plugins.

i had to remove the .htaccess files they made my cnr run like poop and break most or all of the admin areas images lol

it was a nice idea and if it works for you, azn_romeo_4u, that is great

scott you can remove the .hatccess from "skin" dir and it should restore the js and css files. And yea if you have files that need to be used aka, images, css, js that you stick in any of the folders they won't be called upon.
