The fun page is up and i'm quite happy with the overall result.

At the moment i'm busy on three projects. http://www.ackerinternautics.com/ (only just has been designen, all the coding still needs to be done), http://www.getaheadphone.com/ (also in a very early stage, i really like the way it looks now) and still working on http://www.worldracing.nl/ though that's almost finished now :)

They look beautiful as always.. except for that one you obviously haven't really got to start much of :P

Hey.. on coopersworld.. you have css image rollovers on your navigation bar. How can I achieve this? Would you be willing to share the CSS code snippet? Or have you done it differently and I am incorrectly speculating?

So a few days ago I started working on yet another site. It's completely beta, but I really love the way it is shaping up.

lol coming here reading this stuff kinda makes me kinda miss those times. I've abandoned CNR for years now, and I think it's safe to say i've come a long way since.. But man, i wouldnt wanna give away my CNR fun-time ever.. Too bad most of what i've posted here has vanished and I can't take a peak at it anymore.

Nowadays I'm still my own boss and still run a - mostly - webdesign company. Big difference being that i've written my own content management system (from scratch). Which is something i never expected to be able to, so very pleased about that :P

---

Okay for old times sake, here goes..

So fminside.nl still running strong on CNR, been meaning to replace it with my own cms, but somehow i cant let loose of my own screwed up heavily modded version of CNR.

Well, I still find CNR to be a very good CMS solution, it may be not as feature rich as Wordpress, but it is a designer friendly system once you get to know it a bit better. I'm also very pleased about super simple database structure. Comparing to complicated schematics I see in other CMS solutions like eZ Publish, Joomla, Typo etc. it's a relief to actually know where are things stored.

Only thing which is making me afraid is the PHP 5.3.

I do believe i'm one of the few that really know CNR inside-out. So yeah, once i really did like the system, but that was before how i learned how the script properly.

Negatives
- Bad scripting (not clean, workaround after workaround)
- Even worse error handling
- Bad database structure
- Outdated

Positives
- Instead of CN it uses a database so it can handle bigger websites

It was a nice project and a step up from the original CuteNews, but it has been neglected and outran by competitors.
